We worked on drafting (or slipstreaming), where swimmers follow closely behind one another to reduce drag and save energy — just like cyclists do in a peloton 🚴‍♂️

We even practiced rotating drafting — or a pace line — where the lead swimmer rotates to the back, and everyone takes a turn up front. Not only does it build swim fitness and endurance, but it also teaches pacing, positioning, and group awareness — all key skills for open water events.
